Penstemon Plum Jerkum

Penstemon 'Plum Jerkum' is a striking and vibrant perennial.

This Penstemon is part of the Pensham series and is known for its deep, rich plum-purple flowers, which bloom profusely on tall, elegant spikes (reaching a height of around 70cm) from late spring to early summer (July - October). The trumpet shaped flowers are loved by pollinators making it a must have choice for wildlife-friendly gardens and cottage gardens.

It is a semi-evergreen, bushy perennial with dark green foliage providing a beautiful contrast to the bold purple and white flowers. Penstemon 'Plum Jerkum' thrives in full sun and in well-drained soil and is a hardy, low-maintenance plant. 

It will flower each year for an incredible five months and deadheading of faded flowers prolongs the flowering period.
