Opiopogon Planiscapus (Black Mondo Grass)

Distinctive black evergreen perennial grass.

Also known as ‘Black Mondo Grass’ this delightful perennial offers all year round interest. With evergreen leathery black grass leaves, to small purplish coloured spiked flowers in the summer (June-August) and glossy black berries in the Autumn.

It helps to provide ground cover in a border and is ideal in areas with full sun or partial shade creating great lumps of evergreen interest.

This plant grows to about 50cm (19 inches) high, with a spread of 50cm (19 inches). Suitable for growing in your border, as well as pots or containers.
